Principal's Message - Apr 19th
Dear Marilla Primary Families.
We had another busy week at Marilla Primary. Our 3rd and 4th graders did an awesome job on the NYS ELA Assessments. They worked very hard so that we can make sure we are teaching them all they need to know! The NYS Math Assessments will be on May 1st and May 2nd for the 3rd and 4th graders.
Next week, on Friday, April 26th, the 3rd graders will travel to the Middle School to hear the band and orchestra perform. This gives the 3rd graders an opportunity to learn about the different instruments and see if they are interested in taking lessons in 4th grade. More information regarding band/orchestra recruitment and instrument selection will be sent home to parents.
Our Kindergarten Orientation for incoming Kindergarten students will be on Wednesday, May 1st at 6:00 pm. This is the first of several opportunities for you and your Kindergartener to get to know Marilla Primary. Parents will have the opportunity to learn more about the school and the children will have an opportunity to see a kindergarten classroom, meet the teachers, and do a fun activity! Please look for upcoming events for the transition to Kindergarten on our web page. The icon is labeled “Countdown to Kindergarten 2024”.
