Mrs. Stanfield's Message Mar 2, 2026
Dear Marilla Primary Families,
What a wonderful start to the month of March! The sun is shining, and the children were finally able to enjoy outdoor recess today — a sure sign that spring is on its way. Let’s hope March comes in like a lamb and stays that way!
We have several special events happening this week at Marilla Primary.
Each year, Mrs. Peresan has students participate in the Fitness Kids Challenge at the start of the school year. This year, our school was selected to receive a special performance from Kevin McCarthy! Kevin will be visiting us on Wednesday morning to perform for all students in UPK through 3rd Grade. We are excited to celebrate our students’ hard work in such a fun way.
We are also looking forward to a new Marilla PTO family event! On Thursday, March 5th from 6:00–7:30 p.m., we will host Bingo and Baskets Night in the Iroquois High School cafeteria. Information about this event was sent home a few weeks ago. Please remember to send in donations for your child’s class basket. The PTO is also seeking volunteers to help make this event a success. If you are able to help, please use the link below to sign up. This is our final PTO fundraiser of the year, and we truly appreciate your support.

Finally, please remember that Friday, March 6th is an Early Dismissal Day for UPK–3rd Grade students.
- Kindergarten–3rd Grade parent pick-up: 11:40 a.m.
- UPK dismissal: 12:00 p.m.
- Buses depart Marilla Primary at 12:00 p.m.
If your child’s typical Friday dismissal routine will change, please be sure to send in a note.
Thank you for sharing your children with us and for your continued support. We are grateful for our Marilla Primary families!
