Mrs. Stanfield's Message December 22, 2025

Dear Marilla Primary Kindergarten–3rd Grade Families,

The Sing-A-Long is a beloved tradition in the Iroquois community. We look forward to welcoming our families for this special event and appreciate your cooperation in helping us ensure it is safe, organized, and enjoyable for everyone in attendance.

Thank you for returning the permission forms indicating whether you plan to take your child home following the Sing-A-Long. This information is extremely helpful in planning a safe and efficient dismissal from the church. On Tuesday, students will only need to bring a coat and a water bottle to school. Please leave backpacks at home.

Sing-A-Long Details

  • Date: Friday
  • Doors Open: 9:00 a.m.
  • Start Time: 9:30 a.m.
    • Kindergarten will perform first, followed by 1st, 2nd, and then 3rd grade.

Please plan accordingly, as many families will be in attendance and extra time will be needed for parking and walking to the church.

Parking Information

Parking will be challenging. We strongly encourage families to carpool when possible. District Resource Officers will be present to assist with parking and traffic flow.

  • Parking is recommended on Shannon Drive and in the back church parking lot.
  • Please follow all directions provided by the officers on duty.

Student Pick-Up Procedures

Each grade level will have an assigned waiting area before and after performing. After the Sing-A-Long, we ask that one parent or guardian go to the designated area to pick up their child and sign them out with the teacher.

Designated areas are as follows:

  • Kindergarten: Sanctuary (1st floor – same level as the church)
  • 1st Grade: Reception Room – Basement
  • 2nd Grade: Gym – Basement (right side upon entering)
  • 3rd Grade: Gym – Basement (left side upon entering)

Students will remain seated together as a class in these areas. Please look for your child’s teacher to sign your child out. Staff members will be present to assist and help ensure families are reunited with their children as efficiently as possible.

During the Performance

After each grade level performs, students will exit the church and return to their designated area. Due to limited seating, students will not remain in the church to watch other performances. All students had the opportunity to watch each grade during our dress rehearsal.

For safety and to minimize disruption, we ask that families refrain from picking up a younger child and then reentering the church. If you plan to leave with your child, please do so during the grade-level transition and exit the building after signing your child out.

Younger siblings who have already performed will remain with their teacher until the Sing-A-Long concludes.

Families are welcome to stay for the entire Sing-A-Long, which will last approximately 40 minutes. If you are unable to stay for the full performance and plan to take your child home, please exit the church during grade-level transitions and sign your child out with the teacher. We kindly ask that you remain until all of your children have performed before picking them up.

If you have any questions, please contact the school office. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support in making this a safe and memorable event for our students and families.

Sincerely,
Amy Stanfield
