Mrs. Stanfield's Message December 11, 2025

Dear Marilla Primary Families,

Thank you to all the parents and guardians who joined us for Parent–Teacher Conferences this week. Your presence and engagement make it clear how deeply you value your child’s education—not only their academic growth, but their social and emotional development as respectful, responsible young people. We truly appreciate your partnership and the trust you place in us. Working together, we can support each child in reaching their fullest potential.

As we head into the holiday season, we just wanted to remind families about our procedures to keep our school community healthy. If your child has a fever, diarrhea, or vomiting, please keep them home for 24 hours after symptoms have completely resolved without the help of medication. If your child is sent home from school with any of these symptoms, they will need to remain home for at least the next school day.  Thank you for helping us limit the spread of illness so all students can stay healthy and enjoy the upcoming festivities.

We are looking forward to several holiday-themed events in the coming weeks:

Tomorrow, Friday, December 12th, half our gym will be transformed into a full-service Christmas factory by our PTO for Jingles Workshop. The children love making gifts for their family and friends.  Thank you to all our parent volunteers who have worked to make this such a wonderful event for our students.

On Monday, December 15th, the students in Kindergarten – 3rd Grade will attend Holly Hanging at the High School.  The children get to walk through a Winter Wonderland in the gym designed by the HS students and hear the HS Choir perform songs of the season.

We will also have Holiday Spirit Week next week.  Each day there is a dress theme that your child is invited to participate in.  The themes are:

Monday – Wear your favorite holiday color

Tuesday – Wear your favorite holiday accessory (headpiece, necklace, etc..)

Wednesday – Wear your favorite Christmas sweater (cute or ugly)

Thursday – Candy Cane Day!  Wear red and white

Friday – PAJAMA DAY!! (Everyone’s favorite!)

Finally, please remember to send snowpants, coats, hats, and gloves for students so that they can participate in outdoor recess, sledding, and outdoor PE classes when the weather and temperature cooperate.

Thank you, as always, for your support, and we look forward to celebrating with you this season!  Have a great weekend!
