Dear Marilla Primary Families,
Hooray! It’s May! April showers bring May flowers so the rain can stop at any time now!
Thank you to the families that joined us for our Kindergarten Orientation session last week and welcome the Class of 2038 to Marilla Primary! It was nice to meet new families and watch our UPK friends have so much confidence! The next opportunity for the kindergarten students and parents to visit Marilla Primary will be on Tuesday, May 20th from 9:15 am – 10:15 am. The children and parents will have a chance to listen to a story, do some fun activities in PE, and make some music with our music teacher. Kindergarten screening for students not currently enrolled in our district UPK classes will take place on May 27th. A Sign-Up Genius link will be sent out for parents to sign up for a screening appointment.
It is hard to believe there are only 7 more Fridays in the school year. We will have School Spirit Fridays each week with a different dress theme each week. These are totally optional! On Friday, May 9th, we will have HAT DAY! Faculty, staff and students are invited to wear their favorite hats!
Finally, a reminder for our 3rd grade families, that our 3rd graders will participate in NYS Math Assessments next Monday, May 5th and Tuesday, May 6th. We are so proud of the work the students did during the NYS ELA Assessments this week. They were determined to demonstrate all they learned this year! Please reach out if you have any questions.
