Mrs. Stanfield's Message Feb 7, 2025
Dear Marilla Primary Families.
On Wednesday, we celebrated World Read Aloud Day with a virtual visit from author, Amanda Abler. She is an author who writes non-fiction stories. The students were excited to ask her questions such as
What made you want to be an author?
What was your favorite book when you were in school?
What do you do when you run out of things to write about?
How old were you when you made your first book? What was it?
Thank you to Ms. Chernowski for organizing this event for us!
The rescheduled Marilla Primary PTO Family Skate will take place on Tuesday, February 18th from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.
A reminder that registration for Universal Pre-K and Kindergarten is now open! Please visit the Iroquois CSD homepage for information and to access links to begin the process. Valentine’s Day parties will be on Thursday, February 13th. Your child’s teacher will share the plan for the parties. Also, just a reminder that there is a Superintendent’s Conference Day on Friday, February 14th so there is no school for students.
For families interested in some fun during the mid-winter break, the ROC is sponsoring a Winter Free Play Series with indoor and outdoor activities for children ages 5-17 from February 17th-21st. More information on this can be found in our virtual backpack.
As always, thank you for your partnership and support.
Have a great weekend!
